The author's entire family made the chickens a family project, and love and respect for the birds came shining through. I will admit, I was dreading that part of the book, but Ms. . Goodwin's accessible, effortless style, which he used so well in previous editions, carries the reader nicely through the intricacies of one of the world's most popular drugs and its associated disorders. It was a temptation to pause and hear or rehear many of the works Rosen discusses; but if that were done, the cover-to-cover reading of the book would never be completed. Unfortunately this set of books does not provide the spectrum of manuscripts that reflect the wonderful examples that exist to date.
