I was anxious to see how their romantic journey unfolded, too, and I loved it when it did. I only did it to write a review and hopefully scare you off.
Eventually, the countess grows really big with her ever increasing cushion, but one night at a ball, she decides she must dance - cushion and all. Lucas' book is a jewel. Don't buy it! Possibly the worst book I have ever picked up.. It includes both written and visual descriptions of the hallmarks of each of the three design styles.
