I do know all about wanting to be the good girl. Covers the endangered animals and plants of Texas, and the issues surrounding them.. I think the materials in the book are sometimes out of order though. I really enjoyed this book. Largely because he hasn't started it yet, something he's not about to share with Max.
Max nags at Ellery to get a bodyguard, but he is adamantly against the idea. But something else flares between the two, attraction. Gracielis, who failed as an assassin, is helped by allies, as they try to bring the river under control before the realm turns into Quenfrida's dark vision.
This is an enthralling fantasy that contains horror elements interwoven into the story line. Such a good book! I ordered for my 6 year old son and I read him a chapter every night.
